Regiane De Andrade, MD


About Dr. De Andrade

Dr. Regiane De Andrade received her medical degree in Brazil. She studied at Federal University of Sao Paulo-Escola Paulista de Medicina and completed her training in radiation oncology in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is board certified in radiation oncology by the Brazilian College of Radiation and worked as faculty at the Federal University of Sao Paulo. Dr. De Andrade then joined the University of Pittsburgh in a research capacity. She was involved in several research projects for integration of newer technologies, such as IMRT, PET-CT, IGRT, and 4D-PET-CT for the Radiation Oncology Department. She continued to complete a radiation oncology residency at the University of Pittsburgh and is board certified by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology. Dr. De Andrade's publications were pioneering for integration of these technologies into routine clinical practice, especially the use of PET-CT and IMRT for head and neck cancers. She also participated in a cooperative planning grant for the Cancer Disparities Research Partnership and was involved with continuous quality improvement initiatives.
